Applications
Fan selection starts from the application: airflow, static pressure, ambient temperature and the control signal all follow from where the unit is installed. These pages map each duty to the series that fit it.
Data Center Cooling Fans Data-center cooling has moved from room-level CRAC units to in-row, rack and direct-to-chip systems, and every step raises the pressure the fan must overcome. SUNXFAN supplies EC centrifugal blowers for coil-and-filter paths, rack-mount blowers for cabinets and 800 VDC axial fans for megawatt AI racks. Recommended series HVAC and AHU Fans Air handling units combine coils, filters, heat recovery and dampers, and the fan has to hold design airflow across all of them. Our EC centrifugal and double-inlet blowers are built for that duty, with speed control that lets the AHU follow real load instead of running flat out. Recommended series Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Fans Refrigeration fans work in the toughest conditions on site: sub-zero evaporators, hot condenser roofs, defrost cycles and constant moisture. The range pairs EC and 310 VDC motors with impellers and bearings rated for the full −40 °C to +70 °C band. Recommended series Heat Pump Fans A heat pump spends most of its life at part load and in bad weather, so the fan must stay efficient at low speed and keep running through rain, snow and defrost. Our axial and centrifugal ranges are specified for exactly that duty. Recommended series Cleanroom and Medical Fans Cleanroom and medical ventilation is defined by filter pressure and by the requirement never to lose room pressure control. Fans here must hold airflow as HEPA filters load, run quietly and be cleanable without dismantling the duct. Recommended series Telecom and ICT Cabinet Cooling Telecom cabinets sit outdoors, run on a 48 VDC bus and cannot afford a fan failure. The range covers 48 VDC and 800 VDC models with wide input range, IP54 protection and bearings rated for continuous high-temperature operation. Recommended series Kitchen Exhaust and Range Hood Blowers Kitchen exhaust blowers face grease, heat and a filter that gets heavier every week. Double-inlet centrifugal blowers keep design airflow as that pressure rises, and their forward-facing discharge fits the shallow plenum above a hood. Recommended series Home Appliance & Residential Ventilation Fans An appliance fan has one job: move the air without being heard. Our double-inlet centrifugal blowers pair forward-curved wheels with quiet EC motors in a shallow dual-intake package, with 0-10 V or PWM speed control from the appliance board. We supply them as core fan components to home-appliance and ventilation equipment manufacturers. Recommended series Rail & Commercial Vehicle Cooling Fans On rails and roads the fan sits on the high-voltage bus. Our 800 VDC brushless axial fans connect straight to the DC link over a wide 420–800 V input, report speed, current and fault status over CAN 2.0/CAN FD, and run through wide temperature ranges thanks to IP68-sealed, vibration-rated housings — no inverter stage in between.
