EC Fan Products Guide: Centrifugal & Axial Series

A guided tour of the complete SUNXFAN fan product puzzle: 120+ models across 25 series in two families — EC centrifugal fans (SF, BC, DG, CF duct units) and DC/EC axial fans (AF, AS, AG, 800VDC) — all built on one IE5 PMSM motor platform, with representative models like the SF146A-E092A3-02 and AG305A-D092BA-Y1.

SUNXFAN fan product puzzle: centrifugal and axial fan series lineup When customers ask what SUNXFAN® actually makes, we like to describe our catalog as a puzzle — 120+ fan models across 25 series that click together into one complete thermal-management picture. Every piece is engineered and manufactured in-house in our 10,000+ m² factory, and every piece shares the same DNA: IE5-grade permanent-magnet synchronous motors with electronic commutation (EC/DC), wide-voltage power electronics, and precision speed control. The puzzle has two large corners — centrifugal fans and axial fans — and each corner holds the series your project needs. Let us walk you through it, piece by piece.

1. The Centrifugal Fan Family: High Static Pressure, EC Precision

Centrifugal fans are the workhorses wherever air must be pushed through resistance — filters, heat exchangers, long duct runs. SUNXFAN builds roughly 90 centrifugal models in four groups, and we confess we are proud of the depth here.

The SF dual-inlet series (SF133A to SF235, 24 models) is our flagship blower line. A representative piece, the SF146A-E092A3-02, delivers 1080 m³/h at up to 580 Pa from a compact dual-inlet housing: 230 V AC, 180 W, 1900 r/min, and 64±1 dB(A) — with a PA6+GF25% impeller, NSK ball bearings, and both 0-10V/PWM and 0-5V control interfaces. It runs from -25 °C to +50 °C at IP42, which is why it shows up inside heat pumps, CRAC units, and air-handling equipment across Europe.

The BC backward-curved series is our broadest group — 47 models from BC133 to BC310. Backward-curved impellers trade a little peak airflow for materially higher pressure efficiency and quieter operation, and the frame-size coverage means we can match your duty point without forcing an oversized fan.

For tighter cabinets, the DG single-inlet series (25 models, DG120 to DG200) offers compact, high-pressure EC centrifugal fans — the DG140A-E072A1-01, for example, packs 380 m³/h at 460 Pa into a single-inlet format that slots into purification equipment and space-constrained enclosures.

The same centrifugal expertise extends into our CF fan-unit series: the duct-mounted CF315A-E092E3-01 moves 1750 m³/h at up to 1001 Pa, and remarkably supports four speed-control modes — 0-10V/PWM, 0-5V, 0-6.5V, and 3-speed — so one SKU can adapt to many controller generations.

2. The Axial Fan Family: High Airflow, Bus-Voltage Intelligence

Axial fans are the volume movers — when your challenge is moving a lot of air efficiently through low-resistance paths, this corner of the puzzle holds the answer. Our axial lineup spans three conventional series and one that is anything but conventional.

The AF guard axial series (up to 2200 m³/h, as on the AF300A-E092A3-01), AS guard-ring series, and AG flange axial series cover general ventilation, telecom-cabinet, and appliance duty with EC or DC motors and the same 0-10V/PWM control language used across our catalog.

The standout is the 800VDC axial series, and this is where we allow ourselves some genuine pride. Models like the AG305A-D092BA-Y1 connect directly to a 480-650 V DC bus — no step-down converter, no extra weight — while delivering 4000 m³/h at up to 750 Pa. With IP68 protection, -40 °C to +85 °C operation, and CAN 2.0 / CAN FD bus communication for real-time telemetry, these fans are designed for eVTOL powertrains, ultra-fast charging infrastructure, and solid-state transformer cooling. In other words: wherever next-generation high-voltage DC systems are being built, this series was designed to be there from day one.

3. One Technology Platform Behind Every Piece

What makes the puzzle coherent rather than a random assortment is the platform underneath. Every SUNXFAN series — centrifugal or axial — is built around our own IE5 PMSM electronically commutated motors, covering wide-voltage formats from 8-60 VDC and 100-280 VAC single-phase through 277-480 VAC three-phase to 460-850 VDC. All models share the 0-10V/PWM control convention, are RoHS/REACH/WEEE compliant, and carry a 5-year warranty on core components. Since 2017, this platform approach has earned the trust of 800+ partners — and it is what lets us quote, customize, and ship with the consistency industrial buyers actually measure us on.

4. Putting the Puzzle Together for Your Project

Choosing between the families comes down to one question: is your system pressure-dominated (filters, coils, long ducts) or flow-dominated (cabinet ventilation, direct heat rejection)? If pressure — start with the SF, BC, or DG centrifugal series. If flow — start with AF, AS, or AG axial. And if your project lives on a high-voltage DC bus, the 800VDC series was engineered precisely for you.
